Attempted Burglary in Paradise Valley

On Wednesday evening, September 16th at approximately 9:00 p.m., the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a burglary in progress in the Paradise Valley subdivision. A Code Red emergency notification was sent to citizens within a 2 mile area to inform them of the situation and to encourage them to use extra caution. An extensive search was conducted by deputies and they were unable to locate the suspect. We have not had any further reports of attempted burglaries in the area. The suspect is described as a male, slim build, unknown race, 5’10” – 6’0″, 25-25 years old, wearing a dark jacket or shirt, dark pants, dark ball cap, tan boots, and tan leather gloves. Please immediately report any sighting of this suspect to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office at 303-582-5500 or dial 911.
